Fox and Burger King are in hot water for a controversial commercial that aired during NFL Sunday last week. However, FOX has released a statement saying that Burger King was not responsible for, or had any part in the commercial that aired on Sunday.
The cartoon showed several Dallas Cowboys and their coach, Wade Phillips, in the locker room. The players and their coach were cracking jokes about Jessica Simpson and how much weight she had gained since her and ex-boyfriend Tony Romo’s breakup.
It’s kind of hard to believe that a network as big as FOX could make such a huge mistake by running this commercial. Not only was it not funny, but it was extremely offensive. And it’s quite strange that FOX would bring ex-girlfriends into their ads, especially those who are rich and famous and could sue them for all they have. I guess we’ll have to wait and see what happens next.
