Maurice Jones-Drew Takes a Knee

Maurice Jones Drew of the Jacksonville Jaguars had a tough decision to make during Sunday’s game against the New York Jets. There were less than two minutes left on the clock and Jones-Drew could’ve easily scored a touchdown with no problem. However, he decided to take a knee on the 1-yard line in order to run time off the clock. If he hadn’t, the Jets would’ve gotten the ball back with plenty of time to score a touchdown and tie the game.

Unfortunately for Fantasy Football fans who had JD on their team, they missed out on the points they would’ve received if he scored a touchdown. But no one could blame him… he did what’s best for the team.

Mark Sanchez Hot Dog Overkill

The New York Jets were up 38-0 against the Oakland Raiders, and quarterback Mark Sanchez had been sick all week and not able to eat. He sat on the bench, pulled his hat down low over his eyes, and discretely ate a hot dog with mustard because he was beginning to feel ill. Unfortunately for him, the camera crews caught him “yellow handed” and broadcast his ordeal on television.

Sanchez felt incredibly guilty about it (though I’m not sure why) and bought 500 hamburgers and 500 hot dogs, and all the accessories, and donated them to a soup kitchen.
I understand that people are disappointed that the Jets won and the focus is on Sanchez’s hot dog, but I think there are much more important things to be worrying about. If Sanchez had gotten sick and passed out from a lack of food, the results would’ve been much more serious.

Besides, hot dogs are delicious, so who could blame him?
